Food: if i talk about tth food then its food is okay with nice Portion: —like in 100 Rupees Aloo Paratha(i usally eat it) — we get dinner plate size stuff potato flatbread with 1 Chai, taste of food and drink is vary time to time —also the quality. as a vegetarain i get varitey from 9 veg main dishes — for different situations like thukpa (veg tibetan noddle soup) and chole puri (chickpea dish with Puri — all purpose flour deep-fried flatbread) — in raining day with customization —and customization is helful for vegetarian like me —who don't consider egg as veg.
Vibe: The cafe is at 2nd flour next to jogiwad rd, it has homely windows, through there windows —we can see travellers; nuns; and monks walking at time — maybe because its near to Ani-Gompa(Nunnery) and front to tibet world. As its front of tibet world —so, you will find monks who learning languages and travellers who are volunteering there, also people have business near tth and people living in meclod there long usually visit there. As name Tibetan tea house — inside of it there is one tibetan lady picture holding Tibetan Prayer Wheel and one picture lhasha(capital city of tibet) , Butter tea churn(but they don’t use it to make butter tea), Tibet style curtain in door, the floor is cover by Tibetan mats, when we can see huge book shelf with tibet flag, Tibetan books and yak cushions side of each floor tables — and there all things justify there name Tibetan tea house.
Hygiene: its been a while living here, and i never find tth dirty — if you go early around 10 am before opening of cafe — you will find every day pema vachumming sitting carpets, cleaning kitchen, washroom, cleaning tables, all organising stuff. the discipline of the owner is unmastch in meclodganj —everyday except Monday and Tuesdays from morning 11am to 5pm andAnd even you check her kitchen, no platic coping board, everything clean and nice even in busy hours. If I Talk about washroom then it’s Indian and clean. she can also cooks while singing.
Work: personally i tried working there — with headphones because the 6 tables really close make it good place to have converstion, that makes it noises for work, also in summer season its hard to find sitting in time of lunch and breakfast but after 2pm-5pm usally people came there who are living in meclod so, that time you will find table to work—but i find only two table there are optimum height to put laptop with ground sitting(comfortable for long sitting ). Wifi: one of my friends usually says slow wifi doesn't work for her, but she took classes in tth. Lighting: At the time of programming and reading, I never had any problem with lighting. Backup: They have backup, but only for light — not for wifi. So, the kitchen works even when there is a power cut — and light, but I have to connect my laptop to my phone's hotspot. Sockets: 3 sockets to charge your devices; only 1 socket is next to the two tables, one socket is next to the menu board, and one is above the shoe rack. Staff Attitude: if you order and sit for 2-4 hours, and there is no rush during peak hours, they are happy — and make you stay for a long time and ask you if you wanna order something else with a smile. Meeting Friendly: I find it's not meeting friendly because those who came there are my associates, and that makes me uncomfortable to attend any meeting around them, and it's also noisy. Laptop Policy: laptop allowed, no restrictions — except no smoking, and for a non-smoker like me, it makes me stay there.
