bagshu cake of dharamshala
In 2003, a man named Mr. Hoshiar Singh ran a small food place where travellers would stop for parathas and chai. Today, the same place operates as a general store. One day, someone taught him how to bake. Like many discoveries, it began with curiosity. Mr. Hoshiar Singh started experimenting β baking, serving travellers, asking for feedback, and refining the recipe again and again. Eventually, he created a cake that visitors loved and kept asking for. He named it after the local deity and the village itself: Baghsu. Over the years, many restaurants have tried to recreate the recipe, but the original Baghsu Cake remains unmatched. Its taste has become a local legacy. Today, Mr. Hoshiar Singh no longer runs Singh Corner as an eatery, but he still serves Baghsu Cake in two variations from his Singh Corner general store.
